A 70s bath goes glam

My client needed to update her small bath in her condo in downtown Chicago. The bath was built in the late 70s with sterile, white tile and dated fixtures. She wanted to introduce a little color, but we still needed to make it light and bright – there is no natural light in the space. We also wanted to add some texture to the space, so I specified hand glazed, ceramic subway tile from Pratt & Larson in a cool gray. The floors are 12×12 Carrara marble. The sink cabinet is the Jacquard line from Kohler with the linen white finish to keep it light, and the faucet is the Kohler Margaux widespread faucet in polished chrome. The steel tub from Hydrology is lighter than cast iron for easier delivery and installment. The toilet is also from Hydrology. The medicine cabinets and vertical lights are Robern. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Wickham Gray.
