Grove Street

This is a gut rehab of an apartment for two retired sociology professors who moved from a large condo in the city into a small apartment attached to a retirement facility in Evanston. The majority of their collection of large-scaled, mid-century modern furniture, books, artwork and accessories did not fit in their new apartment, so I helped them edit which pieces to keep. The couple also asked me to help them replace the uncomfortable mid-century modern pieces with more comfortable furniture that could support their needs (mid-century modern furniture is typically low to the ground and difficult to get in and out of). They sat in many chairs before deciding on the Clarke lounge chairs from Jayson Home and the Georgia dining chairs from Room and Board. I helped them select the hardwood floors, and I selected the general wall paint Benjamin Moore Silver Half Dollar 2121-40 and accent walls are Benjamin Moore Cloudy Sky 2122-30.
